Charge & Chew finds DC fast chargers within a short walk of the restaurants and stores you'd actually stop at. Free, no account. Here is how to get the most out of it, and how to reach us.

How to use it

Search a chain ("IHOP"), a place ("Barstow"), a kind of shop ("tire shop"), or a whole drive ("LA to Las Vegas"). Tap a stop to see every walkable place with minutes, and get directions. Press and hold the map to search that spot. Set your car (the car icon) for connector compatibility and a rough charge time at each stop.

Things worth knowing

Walk times are straight-line estimates at about 3 mph. Charge times assume a typical peak rate for your car. Charger hours, pricing and stall counts come from public data and can be out of date — always check the network's own app before relying on a stop, and treat a single-stall site with caution.

Something wrong?

A dead charger, a closed restaurant, a chain we should add, a bug: open an issue or email chargeandchew@gmail.com. Include the stop's name and city.
